Hace muchos siglos que dos razas de alienígenas robóticos, los Autobots y los Decepticons, empezaron una guerra por el destino del universo. Cuando la batalla llega a la Tierra, lo único que separa a los malvados Decepticons del poder absoluto es el joven Sam Witwicky . Pero Sam no es más que un adolescente como tantos otros, que se interesa por el instituto, los amigos, los coches y las chicas.
